Bellevue Master’s Commission was founded in 1995 as a ten month discipleship program out of Bellevue Christian Center in Bellevue, NE. Since then we’ve grown into one of the Midwest’s premier ministry programs; training, equipping, and sending out disciples all over the nation and world. Designed to challenge and grow your walk with God as well as engage you in all sorts of ministry opportunities, BMC is committed to developing this generation into a group of people that loves God, loves people, and lives their purpose.
At the core of Bellevue Master’s Commission is a drive to remain culturally relevant while still being Christ founded, and students get opportunities to be part of this in a wide variety of ministries. BMC is dedicated to serving our pastors here at Bellevue Christian center in the areas of youth and young adult ministry, church services, dance, drama, music, creative arts, missions, local outreach and much more as you choose to let God mold you into who he created you to be.
As a first year student, you will be focusing on your studies, learning how to serve, and growing in your heart to love. Each student is put in a small discipleship group where you can discuss what God is doing, be encouraged, as well as undergo challenge in your growth. There is also opportunity to come back as a second year student to experience and learn the leadership side of the program.
Throughout the year, students get to be poured into by our incredible staff and leadership team.
We place a strong emphasis on forming relationships with leaders and each other that challenge us to get closer to God. Both on a practical ministry training level as well as in how to grow in a deep relationship with God, we are committed to seeing you grow as an adult and as a follower of Christ. As part of this process, students must engage in and complete Southwestern University Biblical Studies classes, complete discipleship requirements, and participate in scheduled activities in order to graduate our program.
Whether setting up a room for a service, answering phone calls in the office, or preaching on stage, we believe everything boils down to loving God and others. The staff of BMC has caught this vision in knowing and teaching that before we can do what God has called us to, we have to learn how to serve first. Just as Jesus was the ultimate servant, our heart is that you would grow in character, integrity, and servanthood. We look forward to meeting you and having you link up with our team!
Everything we do here at BMC focuses on the development of three core parts of who we are: our HEAD, our HEART, and our HANDS. We believe that understanding and having balance in our life is essential to growth and maturity. We are intentional in developing all three areas, and everything we do is designed for students to use and develop their head, heart and hands. What does that look like?
In this stream of our ministry we place emphasis on living life based on the truth presented in God’s Word. It is of utmost importance that students are presented biblically sound instruction, and opportunities to develop an understanding of who God is and what He has for them. In addition to scripture study, we require that students enroll in accredited classes through Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU). Through SAGU, students enroll in online classes and are able to interact with professors on a consistent basis. This challenges students to grow cognitively while maintaining a biblical emphasis.
The goal in this stream of our program is to learn what it means to “love God with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength, and love our neighbor as our self”. Students gain a founded and passionate relationship with our Heavenly Father through daily worship, prayer, discipleship meetings, weekly chapel services and accountability groups.
We see hands as the connection between the head and the heart. The hands provide the opportunity for students to live out the knowledge and the heart that God has given them. In this stream, we develop spiritual gifting and the creative talents of our students. Our program actively develops discipline and compassion by serving our community and taking part in missions around the world.
